Then Tess happened and I never felt hatred for a character before how DARE she get in the way of my OTP lmao poor Emilie didn't deserve that 😪

I rewatched season 1 and I think it still holds up pretty well. The mystery was intriguing and William Sadler as the sheriff was great casting.

lol I never watched Roswell but one of my high school bffs did and she absolutely despised Tess to the point of commissioning me to write a fanfic for her where Tess died in all manner of gruesome ways. So I found this murder madlibs thing online and printed it out/filled it in, et voilà! Fic written.

I think someone made a case somewhere that Twilight might have started off as Roswell fanfiction. The most convincing bit is that the secondary female characters map very well with Twilight's secondary characters. (Alice=Maria, Rosalie = Isabel).

Considering that Twilight famously inspired 50 Shades which in turn inspired some other horrible fanfic thing that also filed the serial numbers off and got published, it being published fanfic itself with the serial numbers filed off would be ironic.
