I think someone made a case somewhere that Twilight might have started off as Roswell fanfiction. The most convincing bit is that the secondary female characters map very well with Twilight's secondary characters. (Alice=Maria, Rosalie = Isabel).

Considering that Twilight famously inspired 50 Shades which in turn inspired some other horrible fanfic thing that also filed the serial numbers off and got published, it being published fanfic itself with the serial numbers filed off would be ironic.

My friend w/ a bike says it was legit and they tried real hard to get Gerard to play Carlisle in the movie but he said no so then they kept asking MCR to make a song for the soundtrack.

Buffy makes no sense. All female characters in Buffy are super-powered (except for Cordelia) and none of them map very well for Twilight's protagonist. Roswell on the other hand has female unpowered protagonist living in a small town who realizes that her future love interest is a supernatural being when he saves her life.

So here is some tea, which i've spilled before, when I was in high school I was obsessed with roswell and loved Majandra, i actually ran her number one fansite (lol) and had the majandra.com domain -- anyway somebody on her team contacted me and the whole premise was "omg majandra wants you to run the website, we love it, it's great", he even like edited her other website she had to put a message for me so I knew it was legit -- long story short she actually didn't want to connect with me but she wanted the domain.

She ended up CALLING ME, on my home phone, when I was like 15 mind you, and was like "look I don't know what you thought was going to happen but i want that name for myself" -- it as fucking insane, surreal and crazy but ultimately it was disappointing. So yeah, she totally soured the whole Roswell thing for me. She even posted on Crashdown's forum to like talk shit about me -- it was such a fucking crazy experience.
