We went to see Love Lies Bleeding last night, and whew, that was terrible! According to my Letterboxd friends, I am absolutely alone in this opinion, but it did not work for me at all. It was going for the pulpy, violent, modern noir of Drive with a lesbian pairing at the center, and I was absolutely down for that, but it just didn't come together. The script was god-awful, KStew was terrible (and I usually like her!), and the last act was something. I will say that I enjoyed Katy O'Brian and would see her in more things, and Dave Franco was perfect casting for his role.

Gonna see TASoMN and Problemista sometime over the next few days - fingers crossed I like them better.

Ahh this is such a bummer. My FWB knows I'm also into women and our normal weekend night is to watch a movie and fuck so he sent me the trailer a few days ago and was like "I know you're into be gay/do crime movies so I'm assuming this would make you horny." I felt so seen (even though I'm not into Kristen Stewart at all) and I was looking forward to that pairing whenever it comes to streaming!

Oh the Lindsay Lohan movie is available now? It's going to be silly but I'm definitely going to watch it!
Super want to watch the Gene Wilder and Butterfly in the Sky documentaries.

I continue to watch Taskmasters but am also going through various TCM movies that were aired during Oscars month. I'm in the middle of Grand Prix, which is actually a little slow but interesting at the same time.

I hope that The American Society of comes here, but we got American Fiction for one day (!!) so I don't expect a lot.

Did the ending of American Fiction make you feel cheated? It felt like such a cop-out to me...
