I saw people here loving her pregnancy post and my initial reaction was… her? Like, yeah, have a healthy baby and all that, but she’s still one of the top people on my shit list. Such a horrible person.

I wonder if it's one of the following reasons:

1. Ppl angry on her behalf re the Austin butler, Elvis, kaia gerber situation

2. Ppl who always have a soft spot for her bc of her teenage nudes being leaked online and her having to apologize bc Disney

And just general apathy towards the needs of disabled and vulnerable ppl. 🥲

people being angry (on her behalf) about him dating someone ten years younger makes me laugh because her husband’s 8 years younger than her and also in his early twenties when they started dating. they both suck for this 😂

on one hand, can't believe it's been four years. on the other, lbr feels like it was so long ago but a lot has changed in my life. ngl, there was something eerily peaceful about there being little to no traffic and how quiet and calm things seemed for the first month or few.

(obviously it was not good that hospitals were - still are - overrun and governments continue to be negligent)

absolutely crazy. up until this past fall, my work still had covid restrictions (random testing*). few people in the US can grasp just how deep in it NYC was. i will never forget the emptiness and the non-stop sound of ambulances.

*and vaccine requirement, both now dropped

Yep. I worked for a hospital in NYC at the time. I wasn't a front line worker but my job put me in close contact with infectious disease clinicians on the regular. They were raising flags to me and my coworkers in February. I remember telling some of my friends that the illness was serious and they should be prepared to hunker down. One of them said, my friend who is a nurse says this is nothing. I was like, bitch I am speaking with high ranking infectious disease clinicians who are communicating with their colleagues in China and Italy. I think they have a better idea of what is happening.

my roommate, who had *just* graduated from a nursing program, went on a trip with friends "before everything closes" and came back with no sense of smell 😑

nurses are phenomenal, they do a really hard job, but there are some that are also the worst.

I've had a cold on and off for like the past month. The first bout was super mild lasted about a week. This one was mild for a week and ramped up now, I have chest pain, fever, and a mild cough.
