I saw people here loving her pregnancy post and my initial reaction was… her? Like, yeah, have a healthy baby and all that, but she’s still one of the top people on my shit list. Such a horrible person.

I wonder if it's one of the following reasons:

1. Ppl angry on her behalf re the Austin butler, Elvis, kaia gerber situation

2. Ppl who always have a soft spot for her bc of her teenage nudes being leaked online and her having to apologize bc Disney

And just general apathy towards the needs of disabled and vulnerable ppl. 🥲

people being angry (on her behalf) about him dating someone ten years younger makes me laugh because her husband’s 8 years younger than her and also in his early twenties when they started dating. they both suck for this 😂

I think ppl were less mad about the age gap and moreso icked out by the some of the Imagery, like that pic of kaia meeting Vanessa on a kids choice awards red carpet as a kid

And that Vanessa is the reason Austin went for a role like Elvis and it's how he blew up to be this huge star

Tbh I’m trying to reconcile the fact that I was SO incensed that she said that, and obviously her delivery was callous to the extreme but now I don’t mask up anywhere unless I’m having cold like symptoms and just kinda lob it in with all the other flu and viral illnesses everyone gets more in winter and don’t let it affect my behavior too much even though I know there are very high risk people out there. I will say I do give people way more space though, and practice better public hygiene. That’s a for life habit.

Anyway I certainly wont say everyone here feels the same but I would guess a majority of people behave similarly and I’m like…am I Vanessa Hudgens??? Are we ALL Va-

"I would guess a majority of people behave similarly and I’m like…am I Vanessa Hudgens??? " 👀

May i ask what prompted you to no longer mask in public spaces?

tbh it's hard to remember the day or even the month but i feel like it was a combo of it being a few months after the cdc dropped the mask mandate in healthcare settings or a few months after my state (CO) lifted all their mask mandates, my state's hospital rates going way down after the state reached 80ish% vaccination iirc, all my drs stopped wearing theirs, and the general "everyone else stopped too" fatigue

Trust me, every day when I am in public and masked as a cancer survivor, I think about how everyone was so happy to be complicit in abandoning people like me. I'm not going to try and make you feel better in a world where the president says he's thankful the people dying are only like me now, not you healthy people who don't mask in the grocery store because you ignore we high risk people need to eat too.

Years? I dunno if the people I know caed about her, but I knew plenty of people who were militant about shaming others publicly for going anywhere (even with masks), and then they were quietly sneaking off to the Caribbean or making social distancing bubbles. Some of this was within a few months of the start of the pandemic, other times were during like Omicron.

I learned the extent to which people can't be trusted and how fucking hypocritical and fake they are on social media.
