I posted the link to the 24/7 Farscape streamer somewhere in this post, but it's legit free on multiple places - Freevee, for example, and also Kanopy if you have a library card with access to that! https://reelgood.com/show/farscape-1999 has the full list, and most are free! And The Peacekeeper Wars (the follow up miniseries) is on even more streamers for free LMAO.
Plus, it's legit a show that has everything - drama, comedy, an animated episode, wacky adventures, people being temporarily killed off so they could get killed off a movie and then be revived a few episodes later once the movie gig was over (yeah this happened like more than once iirc...), S&M costumes, muppets.
When GotG came out (and GotG 2 even more because obvious reasons seen above), multiple sites put out articles saying Farscape was better and was obviously the source material for a lot of it (since as I've heard the movie follows Farscape mysteriously more than the source comics). https://collider.com/guardians-of-the-galaxy-overrated-farscape/ for example.
I love how the similarities they mentioned in that article were already part of the comics long before the films came out. Gamora being raised by Thanos was her backstory decades before Farscape was a thing.
I didn't watch Farscape but one of my BFFs in middle/high school was OBSESSED with this show and I remember her spending a lot of time telling me about the story lol. And yes, we are now in our mid-30s so this tracks with Farscape's audience.
And for a show once called by Lifehacker of all places one of the horniest shows of all time, with an audience of a shit ton of tween/teen girls. https://lifehacker.com/horniest-tv-shows-of-all-time (It was horny enough to be the image used on the first page).
I still wonder how many people were like me in the Space Cases to Farscape pipeline because Space Cases was a Canadian show for kids in 1995~ with the exact same plot except for children and Farscape was NOT for children.
This storyline in Community explains how obnoxious us Farscape fans can be trying to explain our childhood obsession to people who don't understand it.
For the 25th anniversary two weeks from today, if I remember I will do an ONTD original with a bunch of random Farscape shit that I didn't post over the past 25 years (although tbh I think I've posted a lot of the major stuff, like the rumored spin-off from 2014 that never happened LMAO).
Since last year was the 20th anniversary of it being canceled, and this October is also the 20th anniversary of The Peacekeeper Wars, there is probably a fair amount of interesting stuff.

Honestly, I probably would have been into Farscape except that we didn't have cable at my house.

It's never too late to get into it, it's on most of the free streamers in the US!

Farscape is an incredible show and I’m glad that we had The Peacekeeper Wars to wrap things up, especially given the ending to season four.
I did a rewatch a few years ago and I kind of want to do it again.
