she shouldn't have posted the death threat no matter how "cartoonish" and he shouldn't even be commenting about this publicly. let alone posting the other pages usernames. you just wanted to embarrass them not clear anything up.

Bluesky faced a similar situation last year, but it played out in an opposite manner. One user said that they hoped a prominent Black user would get pushed off of “somewhere real high.” In that case, Bluesky’s team decided it wasn’t a legitimate death threat, which strained the burgeoning platform’s relationship with its Black users.

good to know bluesky is turning out to be another twitter hellscape instead of a refuge.

Given how messy Jack has been agreeing with Elon on all kinds of shit, it doesn't surprise me.

Idk I think the “death threat” the ceo received was wildly cartoonish and the trans users on that platform get much, much worse threats made to them. The transphobia is emboldened by staff.
If CEO thought that “threat” was bad, he should really look around the website he’s the fuckin CEO of.

I like that he just casually dropped that the transphobic external mod was caught taking bribes to suspend blogs, and that it was bad enough to cause them to bring all moderation in-house, and then he just continued on his merry CEO shit-posting way. Because what the FUCK.

Also this user claims to be a former staffer and the insight they are giving is WILD, including that said CEO has been spiraling for a while (pre-burning man) and that the company might sell everyone's content to midjourney (saw that coming)

Most companies outsource their content moderation to ‘IT consulting companies’
