- There was a content decision on Tumblr - the blog name predstrogen was banned, and they had, before, voiced frustration with Tumblr moderation not wanting to stop the transmisogynistic harassment they were receiving, as well as her account getting suspended for showing clothed photos of herself after gender affirming surgery
- This led her to post that she hopes that the CEO “dies a forever painful death involving a car covered in hammers that explodes more than a few times and hammers go flying everywhere.”
- Matt Mullenweg, the CEO of Tumblr claims the clothed photos were okay but her cartoonish threat violated T&C against staff. Seriously, does he even know his userbase? That's weak.
- He now went onto another tech site with an idiot CEO, Twitter, to bother her [he deleted the tweet but there are screenshots here] and share her sideblog names, which isn't public info.
- The CEO admits there was an external contractor mod last year making transphobic moderation calls, but their issues with moderation go back further.
- He took time out of his 5-month sabbatical to talk about how he's an ally and donate and stuff over here.
