Seeing Drive-Away Dolls tomorrow. Looking forward to the 84 minute runtime

I think I’m going to see The Zone of Interest tomorrow before it leaves theaters; it’s the last Best Picture nominee remaining that I haven’t watched.

Also interested in Perfect Days which just got to my theater and Drive-Away Dolls but that’ll have to wait for another time!

Looking forward to Drive-Away Dolls and the Les Mis re-release! Saw Io Capitano a couple weeks ago, and it was very good.

Last night, we went to see Madame Web, and I genuinely had a great time! Our audience was fairly sparse - maybe 30 people - but we were definitely all on the same page in viewing the film as a comedy. We laughed A LOT! And honestly, it was a lot more self-aware than I was expecting from a lot of the comments slamming it. Like, yes, the villain sucked, the ADR was egregious, and there was no character development. But to me, that describes most superhero movies, except this one was fun?!?! I genuinely loved what Dakota Johnson did with the character... we need more awkward as fuck superheroes. Representation!!! Though I personally cannot relate to not knowing how to open a can of soda. I feel like everyone giving it 1/2 star on Letterboxd did not understand what it was going for, and I am sad for them!!

This weekend, a local theater group is hosting a nitrate festival, so we're seeing Spellbound on Saturday,

I felt that way a bit about Argylle, but not Madame Web. I wanted to give it a chance for Dakota and Sydney, but I was so bored and barely remember anything about it now.

The Zone of Interest is available to buy for streaming and I'm very eager to watch it. Everyone keeps talking about how good it is.
