I need to find a way to make my physical media take up less room. I need to buy one of those disc folders.

I think how I could have so much more room on my shelves if I did this but the cases are just as special to me! I just can't part with them.

Yeah I'm a little bit like this as well. I don't WANT to get rid of the cases, but at this point it seems impractical not to.

They shut down the Disney Movie Club in Canada last year or the year before (I was a member) and yesterday they announced the closure of DMC in the US.

I love physical media (even as I decluttered a lot of items and kept my favourites) and am sad at the way things are going.

Yep. The free market only works when there's competition.
In my country, internet and mobile plans used to be expensive as hell.
But a bunch of companies came here and then gov passed a law that allowed you to keep your number if you wanted to switch companies. Prices went down super fast.
I pay 14 usd for a good quality internet in my house. And a little more than 5 usd for my phone.

I pay less than 10 pounds in the UK for really good data and unlimited calling and texting whereas it is soooo expensive in the states like there used to be a time more than 15 years ago when you lost minutes even if someone else called you and I still have to add money every fucking month so I don't lose my number

Yeah, I went to Canada once and omg, it pained me to see how much they have to pay for internet and data.
