Btw is Colman the first Afro-latino to get in Best Actor? I think America is the second Indigenous latina to get in after Yalitiza. So once again viva la raza latina!

Same. I know he’s young and blah blah but it’s about the performance and he was so subtly heartbreaking in it. Also just watched The Holdovers and sad Dominic Sessa wasn’t nominated either. Can’t believe that movie was his first credited role.

He had such momentum going into awards season I’m genuinely surprised that he completely fell off (although I think Vili rightfully calling out the filmmakers for their disrespect probably put the final nail in the campaign coffin).
