The Rising Star award is voted by the public so it's possible. Idk if she's famous enough in the UK though.

Black people generally stand a decent chance of winning the Rising Star award Lashana Lynch, John Boyega, the lead dude in Get Out whose name I'm forgetting now, have all won in the past, and I'm sure there are others. As the other poster said, being relatively unknown in the UK is more likely to count against her.
