My favourite rom-com is When Harry Met Sally, the quality of the writing and his rizz in that movie had me fawning over Billy Crystal’s gremlin-ass self.

IA. Though i do hate how having a non-Marvel hot lead always translates to the man being average while the woman remains flawlessly gorgeous (Meg Ryan was so beautiful in WHMS!) but i don't care, i still love that movie, their looks worked just fine in that case.
Tom Hanks is another good example! Not a gremlin and I find him attractive in all his younger movies - Turner & Hooch, Sleepless in Seattle, etc., but he's not action star gorgeous and it doesn't matter. Good, charismatic actors is most important.

Yeah I love all of his older films so much. I love Big too - it would be made very differently today and the romance is just downright weird, but I watched it as a teen and loved it so much. I'm old enough to have watched films on video and Big was one I watched a million times. Tom Hanks is fantastic in it.

My top 3 :
1. Bride Wars. I loved it even when it was cool to shit on it, I'm glad the tides seemed to have turned the past few years. Anne and Her need to do another movie together
2. How to lose a guy
3. Something Borrowed. Clearly not a good movie, but again, she makes it enjoyable by sheer charisma.

Rom coms don't interest me but that doesn't mean they shouldn't exist for the people who do like them. In the past 10 years I have only seen 3 and i've only revisited one bc that's Crazy Rich Asians.
