Every time this comes up again I think of a tweet that was basically like, "When Kanye interrupted Taylor at the VMAs, I thought 'Oh that's weird' and not 'Oh this is going to psychologically cripple these two people forever'."

i will never forgive him for catapulting her into a new stratosphere of fame with that (true) statement he made or for wrecking beyoncé’s moment in the end anyway because she then had to “give taylor her moment” during her acceptance speech. like, there’s no way she could have accepted her award without addressing that so she was basically forced into stepping back to look gracious and professional.
