It's not looking good for The Marvels, which is predicted to open to between $50-$75 million. That's less than half of Captain Marvel's opening weekend in 2019. Presales are currently 72% worse than Marvel's last flop Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The Marvels budget is reportedly $270+ million. It will hit cinemas November 10.

They are doing the bare minimum at advertising it, that combined with people’s waning interest in Marvel, how can anyone expect it to do well.

But I’m sure the incels of the marvel fandom will cheer this movie flopping. Because how dare Brie exist.

Yeah, I want this to succeed out of spite towards the incel assholes but the MCU is a mess right now. They would have to find a way to get people excited again within the next few weeks until it's coming out which seems to be an uphill battle by now. Marketing twiddling their thumbs certainly doesn't help either. ugh

I didn't even know this movie was coming out until I saw a trailer for it before Barbie. And that's the ONLY piece of advertising I've seen for it.

screaming @ at that gif

look, I'm torn. I want to support Brie because the hate she gets from incels and losers is unhinged. But I'm sick and tired of the MCU and I'm still upset about Dune being pushed back because of the studios. idk idk!

I was just looking at the tickets for this for my local theater last night. I remember like pre-Endgame you'd have to be ready to buy your tickets the moment they went on sale if you wanted a seat for the best showing on premire night.

The Marvels have 7 seats out of 639 sold for the first showing, and 2 for the second one...

As someone who really enjoyed the first one and who likes Brie Larson, I feel no need to see this one.

I'm all marvelled-out.

This is me. I just can't get enthused for more MCU, even though I really liked Captain Marvel and want Brie to succeed. And the trailer is cute! But I'm still not going.

I loved the first one and like Brie, but like you I have no interest in this.
