It's not looking good for The Marvels, which is predicted to open to between $50-$75 million. That's less than half of Captain Marvel's opening weekend in 2019. Presales are currently 72% worse than Marvel's last flop Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The Marvels budget is reportedly $270+ million. It will hit cinemas November 10.

They are doing the bare minimum at advertising it, that combined with people’s waning interest in Marvel, how can anyone expect it to do well.

But I’m sure the incels of the marvel fandom will cheer this movie flopping. Because how dare Brie exist.

Yeah, I want this to succeed out of spite towards the incel assholes but the MCU is a mess right now. They would have to find a way to get people excited again within the next few weeks until it's coming out which seems to be an uphill battle by now. Marketing twiddling their thumbs certainly doesn't help either. ugh

I didn't even know this movie was coming out until I saw a trailer for it before Barbie. And that's the ONLY piece of advertising I've seen for it.

Yup, if this movie fails they'll blame it on Brie Larson/women existing.

I’ve been excited for this movie(women superheroes teaming up and Goose the cat? I’m in!) and I didn’t realize it was coming out at the start of November until last week. I know the strikes don’t help promo but Disney has done the bare minimum outside of that. But I hate that people are going to use the fact that it’s women, poc, etc and that’s why no one wants to see it..

"They are doing the bare minimum at advertising it"

Preach. Marvel didn't do a single thing to advertise this at comic con, a giant event - devoted to superheroes! - that occurred less than 4 weeks before the movie's premiere. TRULY the worst studio.
