This looks good. All impressive acting (from the trailer). The storyline of an older woman marrying a child is definitely from real life. Pretty sure they had a kid and the victim is still married to the woman and believes it was all consensual/fine.

I've liked a couple films from Todd Haynes - Carol, Dark Waters - but I think the only one I've really loved is Velvet Goldmine. This looks like it has the potential to be great, and the reviews were pretty good, iirc, so I am hoping for the best.

Velvet Goldmine is such an underrated gem! That movie meant so much to me as a weird teenager lol

Love Velvet Goldmine! I don’t really like Carol. I know it’s almost blasphemy to say, but I don’t think Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara had any chemistry. (Plus I’m just not convinced by Rooney’s acting)

I get that. I wanted so much to love Carol, and I do love the way it looks, but it just leaves me kind of cold. And I love Cate, and I like Rooney fine, but yeah, I didn't buy their chemistry enough to feel fully invested.

I won't be watching this. Also, I hate that Natalie Portman commercial where she's lip synching to Janis Joplin. I'm sorry but she does not have the personality or range to pull that off. She's so BORING.

Omg.. I was so confused because Charles Melton is 30 years younger than Julianne Moore… then I watched the trailer… 😳🤯🥴

I think the title is almost a bit tongue in cheek? Because we talk about May-December romances, but obviously usually not like this. I hadn’t read the synopsis and was just expecting Julianne to be playing someone with a younger lover.
