This looks good. All impressive acting (from the trailer). The storyline of an older woman marrying a child is definitely from real life. Pretty sure they had a kid and the victim is still married to the woman and believes it was all consensual/fine.

yes i mean i haven't even googled to confirm but this is definitely influenced by mary kay letourneau who married her 6th/7th grade student who was samoan. they had at least two children.

it’s based on the Mary Kay Letourneau case, where she preyed on one of her middle schoolers and ended up having two daughters with him.

she died a couple of years ago of cancer so they won’t say anything bad about her now, but her victim had actually hinted in interviews that he knew deep down inside it was wrong and that he would never let a teacher do the same thing to one of his children. i also stumbled on one of their daughter’s twitters while it was briefly public and she was super close to her father but had NOTHING nice to say about her mother. i think they all knew it was messed up from the victim to her children but didn’t know how to get out of the situation.

God, that’s sad to hear about him. I hope he and his children are doing okay.

I remember this case. I think e did a true Hollywood story/doc on it and it was terrible how she claimed it was all love and everything. He never had a chance to get away. Like the moment she was released from prison for good behavior and was ordered to stay away from him, she violated parole almost immediately to get pregnant the 2nd time. I can't remember what his parents said regarding the relationship but you could see he himself hasn't processed all his trauma.

I'm glad she's not around anymore. Best luck to him and his kids.
