Well, that's probably technically true? But he won't give her their passports so she can go to England with them.

They are physically with her now, but he waited to file for divorce when she was away in England and when he had the kids, and is now holding their passports so she can't take them anywhere. They sold their Miami home, and according to her legal documents it's that they have a long term rental in England and were in the process of buying a house in England, and that they've already shipped all the kids things to England. He's made it so that she can't go anywhere.

I would rather be raised in the UK than in Florida by a Christbag Jonas brother.

florida is inhospitable. it's school shootings or they get eaten by a crocidile or restricted access to healthcare. no thnx!

Joe needs to shut the fuck up.

Her filing has dates and events that she can easily back up with paperwork that the kids were living in the UK.

Notice how he responded with a PR statement not a court filing. If she were lying, he could submit evidence to the courts. But she probably isn’t lying about the children’s schooling (with a paper trail of their registration), doctors appointments (with a paper trail of their visits) and their conversations of intentions for her to take the kids back (maybe just word of mouth but maybe emails or texts with flight information).

So instead he has his spokesperson put this out publicly, because he knows he can’t refute her evidence in court so he’s trying to win in the public’s eyes. But this dumbass should know he already lost.

Lol thanks. After years of following high profile divorces and PR tactics (Depp, Pitt) I’ve noticed the patterns and this dude is literally taking a playbook out of literal abusers’ game plans. Those were horrible.

While the abusers got off too easy, I’m glad people are not believing this loser.

gotta sift through the muck to see the shit stain patterns unfortunately <3
definitely, it seems like he's already lost whatever goodwill he had, which is surprising but I'm also living for it

IF there is a court order dated September 6 stating the kids remain in the United States not sure what this suit is about. Is she contesting the alleged order?

Anyway, this is a mess. Good luck to their kids because they are going to need it.

read her filing, her case is actually very clear, he’s straight up lying

Yeah, people keep saying give her the passport, but if she does take them to the UK with that order, she'd be a kidnapper under the Hague Convention.

She's trying to sue at home because she thinks it will be more advantageous and she's probably right, but if proceedings were started in Florida, I can see them invoking the convention to keep things there.

The issue will be where their residence is.

If they’ve sold their Florida home, and moved to England (which she’s saying as per her filing) Florida doesn’t have jurisdiction and therefore can’t make that order.

This is so ugly already and it’s barely started. Luckily the kids are little so they’ll only have impressions rather than memories of all of this. I hope their parents or someone get involved and tell them to cut the shit.

Yeah, custody drama is just sad. I feel awful for the kids.
