I was at a "friend's" birthday party when the news of her death broke. Every one of the 10 guests sat in shocked silence and the birthday girl said the most heartless words ever, "She had it coming, nothing of worth is lost". Everyone just left, the party was over 10 minutes later. It was the end of that friendship for most of us.

The vulnerability that made her such a great artist/songwriter allowed her loved ones to suck her dry until there was nothing left. I still miss her - she was all talent and heart.
