Sufjan Stevens dropped a new (sad!) single today called "So You Are Tired".

carrie and lowell is a masterpiece and i dont throw that word around. its insanely good. according to spotify i was among the top 10% of sufjan listeners last year lol i and im still super proud of that.

After my mom passed, that album took on such another level of impact and its hard to listen to now whereas I loved listening before. It hits very hard but such a good album.

Carrie and Lowell is one of the best albums out there, and one of the best albums on digesting loss and grief, especially if it's complicated by your relationship with the person you've lost.

I think The Ascension will get a critical revisit eventually. It’s very good.

Excited for a new album though I know literally one of those collaborators and don’t really know what that means in a Sufjan context. Will they be co-writing? Playing flute? He doesn’t duet too often (previous album being a notable exception). Oh well, looking forward to finding out.
