Lol when she mentioned the juxtaposition of lizzo’s love and light activism vs her stand-offish cold nature in person is funny cause we have talked about the people who say “be kind” turn out to be the worrssssst!!

Good for her for standing up for herself in the moment and also now.

After the victims, her commentary was the most damning.

When she called a “bully” and “arrogant” I immediately agreed cause that what I got from that she doxxed the post mates driver. I remember thinking Lizzo was one of those people who get off having a power trip. I raised on the concept of how you treat service workers says a lot about you.

Someone in another post mentioned they heard rumors of her being shitty to bartenders and other service workers from when she was coming up in her city.

So I wasn’t completely surprised to hear her demeaning people beneath her (the dancers).

“Lizzo creates an extremely toxic and hostile work environment and undermines the work, labor and authority of other black and brown women in the process.”

I will never understand how people can do this to their own. It doesn’t matter what race, sexuality, etc. If you’ve fought your way to breathe, why would you suffocate someone like you? Yes, yes, our negative experiences can shape us. So many industries are competitive. And so on. But, it doesn’t hurt to be decent. You don’t have to even give someone a leg up, just don’t be a piece of shit.

I think I read in a EW(?) article or another magazine that one of the victims mentioned that most of dancers are now more white than black and brown which is interesting cause her brand was about uplifting big black women and the like. Another source also mentioned her mgmt is mostly white too.

So idk she seems to have a lot of internal issues.

a lot of marginalized people in entertainment buy into the “only one seat at the table” myth instead of actively fighting against it. it makes them feel special to be the ~only one~, and they seem to take pleasure in sabotaging who they see as competition (you’ll also notice that it’s never cis white dudes they pull this with)

the worst, though, is when they’re like her, and actively branding themselves as a champion for all, when they’re just a narcissist hiding behind the current trendy social cause

I understand why it’s done in the entertainment industry, especially as you near the top of that ladder. I find it disgusting, but I get how it changes people, I guess. But, I’ve seen it happen to my friend working at goddamn Wendy’s. Just because you’re the only two marginalized people sharing a space doesn’t mean you have to be best friends (or even like each other), but there’s no reason to throw the other person under the bus at the first given chance.

I hate how much society not-so-silently encourages this shit.

Not to be all “I knew it!!” but tbh I definitely knew it

She’s been a mean girl for years. her comments about Chris Evans and BTS were nothing short of sexual harassment and I never forgave her for the PostMates and Chris Brown debacles, but I’m glad ppl are exposing her for being a nightmare to work with. She clearly has a problem with boundaries.

Omg yes. I felt so uncomfortable during her continual harassment of him during it all. The postmate thing was when I thought she ain't shit and I was really rooting for her, after her appearance on the Samantha show. I hope all her victims find peace and get the justice they deserve.

i'm sorry...but like what is the difference between her thirsting after c. evans and y'all and Pedro Pascal, for example? Like yes it's weird and over the top but this part of the narrative, when there's so much to choose from, seems inconsistent. Totally believe she's guilty though.

We do it in a gossip site behind a username, not in the media in front of millions of people including those who are being disgustingly talked about? It's possible that Lizzo's comments are not harassment but they're is weird, lacks boundaries and respect, and it's gross.
