Same goes for influencers. One of friends is a gym influencer and has what people would regard as the perfect body. And let's just say he hasn't eaten a pizza in 2 years and goes to the gym 6 times a week. And meal preps most of the day to the point he knows he's boring and has no life and working out is 80% of his personality. And doesn't lie about it. And after knowing him I accepted that I don't have the patience for it.

Yup. A bachelor influencer just said something similar. We ain’t ugly. We just poor. It ain’t cheap financially or time wise. They just have a lot more spare time than we do.

Honestly when your whole life is centered around working out excessively and micromanaging your meals that reeks of an eating disorder. I think about how much I missed out on life and experiences because I needed to work out 2 1/2 hours a day or I’d panic.

I remember being so anxious about making sure I got my planned hours of workouts in that I'd get all angry and panicky if anyone tried to change plans on me. Or if my carefully planned meals were messed with or someone tried to surprise me with food ( ... )

Then dont call it fitness and wellness lmao that just your career choice. "Wellness journey" "looking good" ok then

didn't she sum it up as her personal journey though.

And? Its just a bunch of words, my personal wellness journey (toward looking hot and desirable so I can keep my job) it doesnt fit. It never fits.

Preach it sis. It’s not a wellness journey this is the pressures and expectations as an actress to always look good. Yea she chose it but at least be more loud with the ITS MY JOB and I have help! Part.

Before people misunderstand me again: I know she said it was for her job. But that part needs to be more blatant from everyone in the industry. If you’re gonna prop up an unrealistic beauty standard; make it clear how much effort time and money that goes into it. Not knocking keke but is it a ~wellness journey~ or going back to her habits she had before she was pregnant?

it's so frustrating how i'd have to work from home at the very least in order to be able to eat better and exercise. as it is i simply cannot food shop + cook + work out. i sleep 6 hours a night, leave the house within an hour of waking up in order to make it to work on time, and all i have time to do when i get home is make a quick dinner, take a shower and watch like an hour of tv or read. plus, i work half a day on saturday so it's hard to even want to spend my one full day off meal prepping for the week.

and then we blame ppl and call them lazy if they can't do it or we get told to "find an exercise you love and you'll stick to it" or "just work out for 20 minutes per day w youtube" when there's no time or energy (and frankly, money) left. i'm not gonna sleep for 5 hours a night just to fit a workout in.

Honestly working from home is the biggest game changer. I get back so much of my spare time. I no longer have to get ready to go into the office. I no longer have to drive to and from the office. I have my full kitchen at my fingertips so I can eat without disturbing work. Most importantly, my downtime is MY downtime. I have time to run the dishwasher, vacuum, run quick errands. It is trash that we are already expected to give 40 waking hours a week to a job. It is utter bull shit when you have to make it 50+ because of the whole song and dance.

Good for her for saying this. There's a lot of new mothers who get frustrated because their bodies haven't snapped back yet seeing people like Hilary Baldwin taking pics a month after giving birth saying "it's a miracle!" and it fucks with people. I also like the fact that she empasises that it's part of her job, and everyone's health journey looks different.

I think it depends on the person with pregnancy. I have friends who got back to pre-pregnancy weight pretty quick but my sister never did (baby will be 2 1/2 next month).

I got back to pre-pregnancy weight within two months both times, because nursing and IBS took a lot out of my body weight wise (I wasn't even exercising again yet), but my youngest is 5 now and I still deal with a couple chronic pain issues caused by her birth.

One of our neighbors saw me two months post-partum and said "wow, you look so good, you should have a dozens babies...."

Yeah I have back pain still, a year later, from the epidural. I can't move as easily. Makes me feel like it's on fire to stretch or walk much.
