it's so frustrating how i'd have to work from home at the very least in order to be able to eat better and exercise. as it is i simply cannot food shop + cook + work out. i sleep 6 hours a night, leave the house within an hour of waking up in order to make it to work on time, and all i have time to do when i get home is make a quick dinner, take a shower and watch like an hour of tv or read. plus, i work half a day on saturday so it's hard to even want to spend my one full day off meal prepping for the week.

and then we blame ppl and call them lazy if they can't do it or we get told to "find an exercise you love and you'll stick to it" or "just work out for 20 minutes per day w youtube" when there's no time or energy (and frankly, money) left. i'm not gonna sleep for 5 hours a night just to fit a workout in.

Honestly working from home is the biggest game changer. I get back so much of my spare time. I no longer have to get ready to go into the office. I no longer have to drive to and from the office. I have my full kitchen at my fingertips so I can eat without disturbing work. Most importantly, my downtime is MY downtime. I have time to run the dishwasher, vacuum, run quick errands. It is trash that we are already expected to give 40 waking hours a week to a job. It is utter bull shit when you have to make it 50+ because of the whole song and dance.

It's outrageous to me seeing all these articles crying about how working from home is bad for people and unhealthy when we know damn well the opposite is true. People have more time to sleep because they aren't commuting, they can take more breaks for physical activity, they can eat better because they're at home. Every job that is done at a desk should have the option of being wfh.

The way my mental health SKYROCKETED when I got to start working from home; I truly cannot ever go back to how I lived before. I clock in from bed and still lollygag. I cuddle with my dogs or play with them whenever I want. Even things that stress me out don't stress me out NEARLY as much as before (a huge part of that is also my asshole boss leaving but still.)

I never thought I'd get to have this life, it really made a huge difference in so much.

Yeah everyone says diet is number 1 but I’m pretty sure it’s actually sleep. Most people can’t stick to a healthy diet cos they’re going through their day exhausted which leads to cravings

I was working out 3-5 days a week working from home since I lived in an apartment and could just take my break and walk downstairs to the gym. Now that I have a new in office job, I keep telling myself I’ll at least do an at home workout when I get home but smoking a blunt is always more appealing after a long day. My weight gain has been crazy now.

I got to work from home last Friday and I took my break and went to the gym. I miss it so much!
