He didn't. He blew up the bridge but the end of the episode showed he had washed up ashore and then the helicopter took him away.

It's been done hundreds of times before TLOU. The Walking Dead even did it's own take on the "gruff guy transporting child across the apocalypse" a year before TLOU with the Telltale game.

Yes. Kid that is immune bc his mom was bitten right before she gave birth, could be the savior of humanity if delivered to the right person/place, and Daryl must do the delivering/protecting.

Except it’s set in France and there are nuns and sexy nightclubs, bc why not?

I am currently rewatching the original show after having dropped it halfway-through before. Binging it makes it a lot easier to watch if I am honest. I will probably watch Dead City and that Rick/Michonne one once I am through. But with the others, there is just too many of these spin-offs and they all look the same to me?!
