I don't even think they need to. I look at my top ten list and most of it is movies with a white couple gazing adoringly at each other under a cutesy title like "The Kissing Tree" or some shit like that. Second most popular is some Fifty Shades knockoff BDSM romantic thriller. The general public is very easily swayed lol

They pander the lowest common denominator most of the time and it works 😵‍💫

it’s not even the promotion bc you watch the movie and it’s so generic and dull?? like they have so much money but can’t hire a decent writer tf?

it’s really weird bc they have tv like stranger things that have mass appeal and may not be life changing but at least they’re not boring. idk why it’s so hard for them to get a movie right.
