Tarantino ain’t shit but he’s 100% right here. I rather die from boredom than ever see a Ryan Reynolds movie

I hope the pendulum starts swinging the other way to balance all this, but capitalism won't let it.

It's been heading towards this for awhile and that's not a good thing. I'm all about changing with the times, but art is not innovative when it serves only the rich in the long run (i.e. top producers and their bank accounts). I feel like we are actually living in the dystopia of what films about the future has illustrated. We are here, and it's gross.

Guys, even awful people can regularly have good takes. Especially if they're talking about their actual craft. It's OK 😅

If Tarantino knows anything - and I don't think he knows much - he knows about movies.

Exactly lol. I like reading about his perspective on film because he's made some great movies. Everything else - no thanks

we all need to agree that direct-to-streaming is the modern-day equivalent of direct-to-video. the chance of a dts film being good gets lower by the month. like "netflix original" is practically a violation of the geneva conventions and i need master directors like david fincher and todd haynes to stop working with them.

warners saying they no longer had interest in sending anything they do to (hbo) max is a good thing for everyone.

i really thought it was over for movie theaters with covid and im so glad to be wrong.

Movie theaters are still dying tho? They're just milking more money out of a smaller pool of people who are paying for tickets. Studios keep releasing underperformer after underperformer and a smaller amount of genres are getting a theatrical releases.

If anything... Fincher, Del Toro, and Haynes should be the people given free reign at Netflix....then movies on it will actually be good.

Frankly, Zaslav is a mustache twirling Villain so I'm not gonna praise that bitch for doing anything.

it is honestly a tragedy that directors like scorsese, fincher etc need to go to fucking netflix in order to get the funding for what they really want to do.

i really hope the tide is shifting and theaters continue to make a comeback
