Maybe it's the Trekkie in me, but I've always struggled to grasp this outlook regarding technological advancement.

It's human nature to adapt. AI will likely dominate the arts initially, and that will be a very rocky path, but it's not unreasonable to imagine a future where artists (driven by creativity, one would assume) would find innovative ways to collaborate with or ingeniously challenge AI's influence.

I feel like AI is ruining everything I care about the most and it's kind of devastating. Of all the twisted bullshit the internet has led to, I could kind of foresee the death of real human interaction, the rise of misinformation in ubiquity, the fast radicalization of pre-existing prejudicial extremism, but I didn't predict that art itself would be dismantled and corrupted. This really is the darkest timeline...
