It's human nature to adapt. AI will likely dominate the arts initially, and that will be a very rocky path, but it's not unreasonable to imagine a future where artists (driven by creativity, one would assume) would find innovative ways to collaborate with or ingeniously challenge AI's influence.

Artists will be able to adapt but artists don't run industry, execs do. So, if a studio or record label head wants a particular visual/sound churned out quickly + for cheap, they'll opt for AI.
