i love mandy patinkin's sign so much lol ("you killed residuals, prepare to pay!")

ayo edebiri was out there last week and francois arnaud posted about joining too. it's gonna be quite a summer if the dga and sag-aftra end up joining. glad the wga has been getting lots of support so far.

Francois has been posting a lot about the strike in his stories as well. I appreciated the one shitting Zaslav and his despicable response.

i wonder how long this is going to last. the energy feels even stronger than the last one but that could be social media bias - though that also factors in because now audiences can participate more vocally too.

haven't made it to a picket line yet but i live by some of the studios. def planning on dropping by probably before work on friday.

Since dga and sag-aftra are due with their negotiations I think there is more energy behind it this time because the other unions are showing up more in support. And probably to show studios that if they keep fucking up there will soon be three unions on strike and not even finished written things can be filmed.

It's weird how much has changed in TV since 2008. Right now I am only affected by late night TV/SNL/live events, because I don't watch any more shows that air serially and don't get filmed and completed all at once.

Whereas last time there were no original streaming programs so all of my many, many TV shows I followed live were impacted and, weirdly, stuff like Daily Show and Colbert just soldiered on without writers.

It shows how much the landscape has changed in just 15 years, and why new agreements and structures are so necessary. Hope they can get a fairer deal!
