Not a single A-List on sight smh
And I’m not bringing this up to shade the event at all or something like that. It’s just that the A-List actors benefit the most and are the most outspoken about being on the crew and writers side but when it comes to action, they’re suddenly too busy

Idt it's shade at all!

They are in a union already - where are Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise, The Rock, Julia Roberts, George Clooney etc??

None of them would have the career they do if it wasn't for the writers giving them such iconic lines to work with. It's shameful.

Pedro Pascal isn't there. I've been half-expecting him to show up if I'm being honest. Mentioning while accepting MTV Awards was nice but who actually watched MTV Awards?

Sort of related- the PAs at Disney are trying to unionize and Disney already was like "... nah." So they had some sort of big meeting/ screening for the film my family member is working on and when it ended one of the big animation union guys shouted "who's strong?" And I guess everyone responded "production strong!" And went back to their offices chanting and shit and the director was like 😳

Yeah, these studios have fucked around with employees for too long and they are absolutely not having it! Hopefully they can form a union eventually - PAs do shit work for no money and long days, and it sucks.

I really hope the studios realize it'd be better to address this stuff head-on than drag it out and have every union striking, but I am not optimistic.

Yeah, I've heard of more than one PA being hospitalized for exhaustion. I've also heard of one basically being told to find another job since she had a kid. I really hope they can pull it off but, yeah, not optimistic. Gotta have record profits and lay off people.
