Fellow werewolf lovers, is this show worth it? As usual, I'm very starved for werewolf entertainment but I'm tired of watching/reading absolute garbage in hopes of finding something that's at least fun.

I came here to ask the same thing!

I haven't seen the finale yet, but so far it's hard to recommend. The werewolf you see looks good mostly, but there's no joy or humor about itself. There's no camp. The transformation sequences have been really underwhelming. No one is likeable except maybe the dad character, it's a bunch of asshole horny 'teenagers' and asshole cops.

I'll watch the final over the weekend, but I dunno if I'd watch another season.

I either watched the first three episodes or the first two episodes, I can't remember. They were not enjoyable. They didn't feature much in the way of pointy ears or any of the stuff I love as a werewolf fan. When I sign up for Paramount + again, for whatever reason that may be in the future, I'll probably watch the back log just to see the transformations and have it on as background noise, but I was severely underwhelmed.

What a waste of a series finale. So choppy and badly done. Way too much going on.

I could not have given less a f+ck about the first 15 minutes, where we got to see whatshisface live through the others' experiences.

Briging in a new character with two episodes to go and focusing him so heavily was an absurd decision. There's no connection, no rooting for him, no trying to be empathetic to him, nothing. The show has 4 leads besides SMG, use them!

ONG the first 15 minutes reminded me of that meme about how other people’s dreams are boring and uninteresting. I kept waiting for it to be over because surely they wouldn’t give a new character a 5 minute long dream sequence, right? Oh, okay, they did but surely they wouldn’t give a new character a 10 minute long dream sequence, right? Still going? Really?

i must have bad taste because i ended up enjoying it lmao. it's not perfect by any means and it does leave a lot to be desired, especially the season finale but i'm hoping for a second season because i think it can and would get better. i think it suffered from being released weekly with the slow burn of the first few episodes and works much better binged in whole.

I think it was designed to be binged, I haven't felt like there's a story being told in each episode. It could get better, but I don't see it going that way with what they've shown so far.

Wait is this not a Teen Wolf spin off?

No, it's apparently based off of this book. https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/955692

It was bad lol The dream sequences are TOO MUCH and the kids are not very likable. I liked the twist with SMG tho! I want to see more of her and Rodrigo, as messy as it ended, if it gets a S2 :')

I never watched Teen Wolf (the series) or Twilight so I am pretty neutral on werewolves. I was only watching because of SMG and Rodrigo and we got so little of them in S1. Hopefully now that the big secret is out, we will get more of them because a little goes a long way with the teenagers.
