Honestly, I know you're not "supposed to" care about or eat fast food when you travel but trying out local menu items in different countries is just a lot of fun too. My favorite McDonald's burger ever is a specifically Austrian/German/etc. one, the McRösti.

Exactly that. I don't visit fastfood chains here; on a holiday it's just another part of the tourism.

We did Five Guys in Paris, I can confirm it was the same except for the drinks because of the sugar tax.

I appreciate foreign McDonald’s because they serve beer and sometimes, when you’re getting a fast food meal on the beach, a cold beer is ideal.

I like to look at fast food menus in other countries but I’ve only ever eaten at foreign McDonald’s out of desperation. Once in Prague, but I don’t remember getting anything different, and once in Germany. They had potato wedges that were really good and I remember liking the curry sauce.
