I literally thought "why is she wearing tan bike shorts under her skirt? Weird" until your comment made me scroll up and see one of her hands had that coloring, too.

I think she's wearing pink knee-high socks and the two tones on the hand and lighter face is because of the light coming off of the geode? It's unfortunate that their lighter skin shading is basically the same color as her socks.
