damn, that must be an even bigger hit on beanie's ego, because it went from bleeding money to making money without her.

it's not in the article but i do wonder how a big show like hamilton is doing 'post' (because lbr it hasn't ended yet) covid. i know for being a big show it still has a lot of people wanting to see it, but i wonder if the pandemic increased or decreased their numbers.

Hamilton regularly performs at 100% or almost 100% capacity still

i suspected as much as it is the hardest ticket in town to get!

but i was kinda wondering out loud if the pandemic kinda made people get over it a bit or increased their desire to watch it more, but it is probably in the same level as before.

I think it's likely the same as before! Playbill posts weekly grosses for all productions and Hamilton is always at over 2mil a week, sometimes over 100% capacity (standing room seats etc). I saw almost everything broadway had to offer from jan-jun this year, but hamilton is the one show i still can't win a lottery for lol

I still have to catch her version. I'm hoping to see a bunch of shows the next few weeks -- I have been slacking the past few months and have only seen 2 shows since June!

Unpopular opinion, didn't really care for Hadestown

I got into Hadestown early on, long before it was brought to Broadway, and it's extra petty of me but the changes made from the earlier version of the show to Broadway kind of ruined it for me a bit. I know every show has to evolve at least a little, but I'm not particularly fond of the current version of the show and I still default to the NYTW cast recording every time I want to listen to it.

Oh, interesting! I didn't know there was a different recording - I am going to check it out. Yeah, I was so excited because I had tried forever to win lottery tickets and i ended up just BUYING them even and i honestly didnt really enjoy it all that much. i also hate the guy playing orpheus and i know hes the OG guy but damn he was awful to me

I mean this is the only thing she's really qualified to do, so it's nice that she gets to think she's having a career upswing when this is the peak until she needs to turn to sponcon for flat tummy teas. Good luck to her
