The episode that lives rent free in my mind is the one with Pruitt Taylor Vince where he sees the screaming ghost things and tries to give Scully a lobotomy. I don’t think I saw it when it was first on, as I wasn’t a regular viewer, but I watched the whole series maybe 10 or 12 years ago with my daughter and that episode scared the shit out of both of us. We watched again maybe a year ago and it’s still scary. The images in the Polaroids, him chasing Scully on the painting stilts, him in that little caravan with the dentist (or whatever they were?) tools ready to “save” Scully - it’s just so visually effective.

This episode is also the reason why to this day I will check under a parked car before standing close to it for any length of time.

I was just thinking about that episode while watching this! Unruhe! Season 4 was so good.

I love watching random monster of the week episodes. Squeeze is such a creepy episode. But it’s also a weird to watch now because of creep Doug Hutchison.

I was literally watching this episode last night! Tooms is without a doubt still one of the best Monsters of the Week of the whole 11 season run - the way Gross Real Life Actor played him was both malevolent and just a pure monster. Brilliant.

Will watch this video later for sure, but damn I love The X-Files. What are everyone's favourite episodes? I'm a Darin Morgan stan ofc but I controversially love Je Souhaite and I couldn't tell you why except I just do.

You have A+ taste. Home still gives me the creeps but it's so well done I don't mind. The Field Where I Died is such a departure from the show in general but again, so well done it fits perfectly.

I loved the actress who played his past- life wife. I heard she married Darin Morgan. They started dating after that episode. I spent way too much of my teenage years learning so much X Files trivia, and for what! Lol

I don’t know who he is but I’m glad he’s not from around here. I don’t even think I watched the whole episode- I just saw him pop up at some point

My first episode was Darkness Falls with the weird spiders that eat you in the dark and Scully was dressed in that huge 90's parka that looked like it swallowed her whole. I instantly loved the show!
