I watched snippets of the Diane Sawyer interview and all the crap in the book aside, to be honest, I feel very sorry for him and what he went through with addiction. He had a 2% chance of living in 2018 after his colon ruptured or something.

The disgust he used when describing an ileostomy bag was nagl. My friend is alive because of hers and it isn't exploding poop or leaking waste. If I didn't know, I wouldn't know?? I didn't watch the interview, but I do know that it upset her because people automatically think she is gross because they don't know any better.

But it does work as an omg don't do drugs i lost my colon story?

It feels like the last thing he should have done after only 18 months sober is write a book that has so much headline grabbing nastiness in it. Any blowback he gets for the truly heinous things he says is deserved but he doesn’t seem like he’s in a place mentally yet where he can handle that??

I feel like someone who cares about him should have read this book long before he hit the promotional trail.

He's "a little hard on himself". No need to expand that courtesy, Matthew.
