Yesterday Good Luck to you, Leo Grande. Don't know if I agree with the 'twist', but still very much enjoyed the film.

Today Fast Color and I have to ask: didn't I notice before because of her face and everything, but Gugu Mbatha-Raw isn't that strong of an actress, is she?

Even if Gugu is not the strongest lead, is it still a nice movie to watch?

I’ve never watched any of the Hellraiser films because torture/begging are not my jam but the new one was pretty good. Would’ve been better if I could FUCKING SEE though lol. I’m so tired of dark ass muted films and TV shows!!

I saw Don't Worry Darling and it was... a movie for sure. Not the worst thing I've seen, but also reductive? Could've been an episode of Black Mirror as sb else here already said.

Ticket to Paradise. Say what you want, but Clooney and Roberts have charisma and chemistry like nobody. They just don't make them like that anymore. Best part was the bar scene where they were just goofing around and having fun. Movie was alright.

Orphan: First Kill. [Spoiler (click to open)]Didn't see the twist coming which had me rooting for Esther lmao

Things I want to watch this week: Till, Armageddon Time, The Good Nurse

I'm going to see an early screening of Weird tonight. It has a Q&A with the director afterward, which is especially fun for me because he was on an improv team I used to go see religiously prior to COVID, so it will be fun to see him at his real job!

Recent watches:

The Banshees of Inisherin: As a hater of every McDonagh thing I've seen, I very unexpectedly loved this! It's between this and Tar for my favorite film of 2022 right now. I spent literally 50% of the film with tears just rolling down my cheeks... when we got to the car and I tried to articulate my feelings on the film to my husband I was just like

I'll be watching Afersun and Armageddon Time in two weeks at a film festival if I can buy tickets tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
