Things I want to watch this week: Till, Armageddon Time, The Good Nurse

I'm going to see an early screening of Weird tonight. It has a Q&A with the director afterward, which is especially fun for me because he was on an improv team I used to go see religiously prior to COVID, so it will be fun to see him at his real job!

Recent watches:

The Banshees of Inisherin: As a hater of every McDonagh thing I've seen, I very unexpectedly loved this! It's between this and Tar for my favorite film of 2022 right now. I spent literally 50% of the film with tears just rolling down my cheeks... when we got to the car and I tried to articulate my feelings on the film to my husband I was just like

I'll be watching Afersun and Armageddon Time in two weeks at a film festival if I can buy tickets tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Barbarian felt very rushed. Everything seemed to happen at the last minute and then that’s it.

That Banshees movie looks like it has almost no plot. From the trailer I’ve seen, it’s basically 2 friends who fall out and that’s it? I’m sure there’s more to it, but the trailer made it seem like they fall out and Colin wants to know why… the end.
