Follow up to this post.

To celebrate Filipino History Month, I put together a list of Filipina actresses, musicians, and other celebs. There are far fewer surprises on this list than the previous one (the roller coaster of Enrique Iglesias is a tough act to follow). Let's celebrate these talented Filipinas!

Does anybody have any favorite filipino food? Where did you get it? What made you like it? I'm curious what non-filipinos have tried and actually like to the point that they eat it at least once a month.

A few years ago, I went to my filipino friends party and she made this really delicious pork soup with noodles and crispy, fried pork rinds on top. She told what it was called but I can't remember. I crave that every now and then.

was it thick noodles and thick broth?

or was it just watery broth?

It was a thin, dark broth with noodles that were almost like ramen noodles. There was vegetables in it too.

When I was looking for pictures of everyone on the list, I was torn between using pictures from what they’re most famous for (so they would be more recognizable) vs more current pics.

According to wikipedia, Saweetie’s mom is Filipina and Chinese. I also learned that Gabrielle Union is her first cousin once removed and MC Hammer is her uncle!
