To celebrate Filipino History Month, I put together a list of Filipina actresses, musicians, and other celebs. There are far fewer surprises on this list than the previous one (the roller coaster of Enrique Iglesias is a tough act to follow). Let's celebrate these talented Filipinas!

When Jaya showed up on Drag Race Philippines, I was fangirling! Thanks to Wikipedia, I learned that Stevie B. not only wrote the lyrics for If You Leave Me Now, but he also produced the track, mixed it, and sang backup.

Another amazing, extensive, thorough post, OP! I had no idea about a lot on the list. I’m looking at some of them, and like, you know if you look at them you can just tell even if they are just tiny bit Filipino. But for some like Lena Hall, I could not tell at all. Blew my mind that her name is Celina carvajal.

Anyways, on other things I didn’t know, is anyone following the whole thing about Miss Universe Spain saying she’s fluent in Filipino? A lot, including myself, thought she was wrong but TIL Filipino is listed as an official language in the Philippines.

I know some of these lol but I'm shocked that Elodie Yung from The Cleaning Lady isn't Filipino. She's French and Cambodian. However, Martha Millan is Australian Filipino.

They were pretty explicit Elodie’s character in the show was Cambodian weren’t they?

Really? Maybe I'm remember it wrong and thought that she was Filipina. Tbh I only watch the first season haha.

Elodie's character in the show is ethnically Cambodian but is married to a Filipino man and they live with their son in the Philippines before she brings him to Vegas (where the show is set) for treatment. Martha's character is her husband's sister, she's Filipina.

My fiance is Italian and I'm Filipina.. I'm kind of sad we decided we're not having kids because it would've been interesting to see what they would look like.

But then I think about all the other stuff that comes along with becoming a parent and it's not worth it to find out lol.

Dave and Buster’s had a photo booth where two people took pictures and then they combined them and printed a picture of what your kid would supposedly look like. I don’t want kids so that was the closest I got to seeing what my genetics would produce. I’m with you on not wanting to deal with all the other child related stuff just to find out how cute my kids might be!
