Not super impressed, but I haven’t found this show as interesting once they killed off Smurf.

I didn’t enjoy young Smurf or the flashbacks.

The way things with down with J made complete sense but it was still very underwhelming. And boring for a finale. The flashbacks with Julia were heartbreaking. This show hasn’t been good in a very long time so I’m glad they put me out of my misery.

We already saw from the earlier seasons that Smurf was a horrible mother but seeing the way she treated Julia because she felt threatened and jealous really made me hate her selfish ass so much. She let her own child and a baby struggle out of her own pettiness because she didn't want her boys to love anyone but her.

I had low expectations and I was still disappointed.

I tapped out after Smurf died.

Did Deran survive and get his man?

[Spoiler (click to open)]Deran survived, but Adrian didn't show up this season.

I know most people grew to hate him, but I've always felt like J was justified in hating his uncles for abandoning Julia.

I know Deran and Craig were just kids and Pope was severely abused and mentally ill, but they had multiple chances to knock on her door later on and help her out, and never did. J had to grow up alone with her in a shitty apartment while the brothers lived in that giant house and got rich by being Smurf's lapdogs. Baz was trash too and it's ironic he died because he stole from Smurf when he judged Julia when she did it.

j definitely grew emotionally into a mini smurf and a cold blooded murder but i also agree he was justified in that aspect. especially because they still treated j like shit once he moved in, ignored julia's memory when celebrating pope's birthday, and all the times this season deran and craig were all ~pOpE wOuLd dO iT fOr uS" while j is sitting right there. and even in the end before he accepted everything pope still made it seem like the family taking j in was something he should have been grateful and in their debt for.

Yeah, I certainly don't agree with J killing innocent women like Penny and the person he became, but I also got tired of the others preaching about family to him when they left Julia to rot.

Of all the people J hurt, Penny really did not deserve that fate. She was just a girl who fell in love with the wrong guy and realized too late that he was a dangerous liar.

The most shocking thing about the finale was that J really liked her and wasn't setting her up from the beginning.
