I'm hoping so because this sounds like no fun to watch. I mean in terms of complexity of characters and situation. Going strictly by the synopsis above, it seems very "het women be suffering".

I read the book when it came out and remember being shocked that each of the women followed was white. So I get what they were trying to do here.
BUT! That character was the least sympathetic of all of them so it really feels like such a choice to but a Black woman in that role.
