ugh s5 is so good - I didn't like it when I first watched as a kid, but as I've grown older I think it's one of the best seasons of the show. I disagree with the comments that it would have been a good series finale though - buffy had sacrificed so much for everybody that it would have overall been a bummer of an ending for her to die as a result, even if the episode itself is super powerful. i think the actual series finale was great, though i wish seasons 6 and 7 had been better overall (there are things I liked about them, but something about the feel of them was just so bleak lol)

omg not to steal Buffy's moment but this means that it's also been 21 years since prue's death on charmed 😭 that was a rough week for badass WB protags but a great week for amazing season finales lol
