the premise is gross but what saved it in the movie was at least having charismatic actors and uh, not spending a lot of time on the whole "he met her when she was a child" thing comparatively

The book is def gross. And don't forget that "real-time" Henry gets a vasectomy because Clare had so many miscarriages due to the fetuses inheriting Henry's time-travel condition. She's too Catholic to ever get an abortion, so instead she tricks an earlier/younger Henry to have unprotected sex with her and that's how she finally has their daughter Alba (barf).
