I have like this thing when I want to be acknowledged at a reunion or party by others, I do like being the center of attention for a short period of time, introducing myself to new people, etc., up until like a few minutes later when all my social batteries deplete and I need to get the hell out and be alone.

So I can imagine people in the audience completely missing if they were distracted.
