Yes! I have like this thing when I want to be acknowledged at a reunion or party by others, I do like being the center of attention for a short period of time, introducing myself to new people, etc., up until like a few minutes later when all my social batteries deplete and I need to get the hell out and be alone.

imo that's just being a social (or outgoing) introvert. I'm that way too but definitely wouldn't consider myself to be extroverted bc of the way I find it draining

no, because extroversion vs. introversion is about whether being social or being alone is what energizes you. plenty of introverts enjoy being social but they need to recharge with alone/quiet time or they get exhausted.
