SO happy she's doing better now and that the truth is finally out. This makes production look even worse than we all thought.

I read this earlier today and the fact that model casting wouldn't even touch a ANTM contestant is mind-boggling.

Like, what's the fucking point of even going on the show and go through all the behind-the-scenes bullshit if you can't even get a modeling gig??

I'm glad Angelea is speaking her truth, and WTF at Tyra's excuse when she was on Tamron Hall's show. 🙄

I started watching the show when I was in high school. They were on season three at that point. I quit watching during season 7 or 8. It was known even back then that none of them ever really got anywhere because no one in the industry wanted to work with them.

What’s mind-boggling to me, back then but especially now, is that contestants still do it. I get that people just want to be on TV or a quick route to fame. But if they do genuinely want to be models, how do any of them believe this is the path that will get them there?

Today might make a bit more sense in that maybe they just want to amass some kind of following, so they can become influencers (thinking of why people go on, like, The Bachelor), but back then? I don't understand it, because like you said, it was known even then.

i think that things have changed so much, trying to get on the show nowadays would make sense because the way social media works nows, people seem to be less elitist? don't get me wrong, it still happens and they would obviously still face gatekeepy comments, but now they could use the platform the show would give them to get gigs, become influencers, etc. i think winnie harlow is an excellent example of how different things are now

Yeah, and it really makes her disqualification so much worse.
