Air them all. No one part of a film exists on its own, and I’m some of the nominees’ films overlap in other categories. Plus, a lot of time just the mention of a film/doc and those small clips may expose someone’s work to the Oscar’s wider audience.

Exactly, I don't give the Oscars the importance that the Academy does, since it's almost always a shitshow, but it's true that it gives the winners and nominees more exposure and could lead them to more work.

I am so fucking irritated by the cuts. It’s bullshit and won’t amount to a significant number of people tuning in who wouldn’t have otherwise. The Oscars should’ve called abc’s bluff or played hardball

There are some categories that were cut that are actually interesting and important even in everyday conversation about movies, and them adding those stupid fan vote awards instead is still absurd to me.

But I'm not surprised since they're a joke of an organization anyway.
