Plus he probably still has good friends in the business who can vouch for him.
That's why I didn't really care for when the Academy removed Roman Polanski from their membership. There's still plenty of actors and filmmakers who'd jump at the chance of working with him if he were able to get back here.

Hollywood doesn’t give a shit as long as it makes money, if they think Lethal Weapon will bring in the nostalgia money then they will work with every racist ass out there. We have to stop expecting anyone with too much money to have morals or empathy anyway.

Poor people have known and been saying this since the dawn of time. Statistically they've always given the least, of both their time and their money. And they always give to some fucking charity, which one of my crim profs said like 40% of which are fronts, and I'm poor AF and never see a cent from any charity. They're just a way for rich people to make money and be on boards lol, so they can feel important.
